The dynamic ip client IPUpdate has been nearly completely rewritten. The old client suffered from buffer overflows that randomly crashed it when in daemon mode, and was proprietary to this service. It was also severely lacking in features. Now the client can be used on any dns service or server that supports dynamic update, standardized in RFC2136. Since this new release is far more professional, I've published it on SourceForge at ipupdate.sourceforge.net. Documentation is also available and man pages written for those of you compiling it on unix based systems.
Since the configuration file takes a completely new syntax, the config generation script on the DNS dynamic page has been rewritten to support the new configuration file format. The old client and old configuration format is no longer supported and you should replace it with the new version. Dave Clark [email] [irc chat] DollarDNS Services

ipupdate 1.1.0 released
The latest version is a bit more convenient to use, much more stable/robust, supports unsecured dynamic update (something you should never use with my service), and supports a new adaptation of the client functionality - failover. You windows users who aren't behind a router should also start using the 'ifip' getip tool instead of the 'dollardns' getip tool. It's faster and spares my poor webserver from additional traffic. ;-)
Everybody should upgrade their client cause it is just plain better. Dave Clark [email] [irc chat] DollarDNS Services
