Well, the problems we had a couple months ago with BIND shutting itself down appears to be resolved. There was a script that was going crazy and I fixed it.
Yesterday was a new one. The server crashed and would not start back up until I got my host's technical support to do a file system check to correct corruptions within the file system. Miscommunication in trouble tickets delayed the fix for several hours. The server was first noticed to be down around 8:00 AM monday morning and was fixed at 5:30 PM in the afternoon EST.
Some people felt pain, others didn't. I strongly recommend that you always setup slave dns servers to keep your domain working even if something goes wrong with the server. Dave Clark [email] [irc chat] DollarDNS Services
